Ever heard of Wooly Willy?

This was a toy at Grandma and Grandpa’s place that I grew up
with.  You used a magnetic wand to move
around metal flecks to decorate Willy’s face with eyebrows, facial hair,
ect.  Hours of fun!

Flash forward several decades and you now have Fred
Face.  A plate where your creativity can
go wild.  Okay, probably not wild, but a
fun way to present food to your kids.
Lil’Miss can be a little on the difficult side when it comes to eating
dinner with the family.  She loves to
help me cook and prepare the food and sometimes will snack on what ever we are
preparing, but when it comes to sitting down with the family and eating what I
have prepared, she is not so enthusiastic, and frankly it has been a problem.
She has gone to bed several nights with out eating dinner
and it has been a frustration for myself and the hubs.  I came across these plates and decided it was
worth a try.  So my kids got “Fred Face”
plates for Christmas.  Since one of them doesn’t look like a Fred I have appropriately named her Frieda or Freida (how
ever you spell that?).
Frieda bundled up with apple earmuffs, a spotted wooly cap and applesauce turtleneck!

Fred with a sweet potato goatee

Frieda with an egg fro and earrings!
Fred and Frieda haven’t taken away our dinner eating woes,
but there has been a great improvement in dinner time behavior and Lil’Miss is
eating with us more frequently.
You can get your own Fred Face Here:
Or even better yet, they still sell Wooly Willy… who knew???

Happy Parenting!!
