With the beautiful spring weather, it has been busy on the home front. One of my goals on my bucket list, which I like to call my “life list” is to become a master gardener. Each year I attempt at a garden, there are usually a few successes and twice as many fails, but none the less I don’t give up and I try again the next year, hence the many garden posts lately.
The hubs and I were given an Aerogarden for a wedding gift. I was so excited to receive this gift. I registered for it and a family I used to nanny for purchased it for us. That same family had an aerogarden in their home and it produced a beautiful garden of herbs and lettuces. Well this is my second attempt at the Aerogarden (see my first attempt here!), and it was another huge fail! The pictures speak for themselves!
This time around I decided to plant some of the same herbs in soil along side and this is my result. I am not sure why I can’t get the Aerogarden to work for me. I carefully combed over the instructions several times and my only guess is that my seeds are too old (I got them four years ago with the aerogarden). The one nice thing is that I used the grow light to my advantage and started several herbs, tomatoes and flowers along side, so it wasn’t a total waste of energy!
Please is there anyone out there who has had Aerogarden success who can tell me their secrets???
